Alaine Handa is a PG graduated student that finished her studies at Les Roches in March 2016 while she was doing her internship in Brussels. She grew up in Singapore, Jakarta, and in Los Angeles.
Alaine spent most of her twenties in New York City as a professional dancer, choreographer, dance educator, arts administrator, and more! Her transition to the world of hospitality happened as an epiphany during a beautiful ski trip a couple years ago to Zermatt.
She loves travelling and connecting with people around the world as well as entertaining guests with good food, good drink, and excellent conversations. It was only fitting for her to make the big career change. The year following her trip to Zermatt, she worked in events, a fine dining restaurant, and education. She realized that by making others feel happy, she in turn felt the world could become a better and more peaceful place to live.
In her spare time, Alaine likes to cook, study languages, do cross-cultural research, discover good places to eat and drink, travel, ski, tap dance, contemporary dance, choreograph, work out, watch films, and hang out with friends.
