See the world from different perspectives!
It is finally here! We are excited to announce that Les Roches will be hosting its first student-led TEDx talk on October 24th, 2015.
What is TEDx? TEDx was created in the spirit of TED’s mission, ‘ideas worth spreading.’
TEDx is essentially an independently organized TED event to help spread the spirit of TED within our own community. Oh, and btw, TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design, though talks these days can be about anything that is really interesting.
We at Les Roches want to ignite meaningful conversations and form lasting impressions between attendants and speakers, which will create a one-of-a-kind TEDx LesRochesHotelSchool experience. We hope that this will be the first of many TEDx conferences, that it will become a tradition on campus through which we share global and local ideas.
Les Roches, which counts almost 100 different nationalities on its campus near Crans-Montana, will host a TEDx conference to explore the theme: ‘See the world from different perspectives’. The permanent cultural exchange at Les Roches, coupled with the fast-changing landscape of the hospitality industry mean that it is essential for us, the future leaders of the industry, to be able to see things from different angles and think of innovative solutions to existing problems.
Les Roches will be flying in speakers from all corners of the world, with rich experiences in innovation, sustainability, and creativity. Speakers include Pulkit Jaiswal, an entrepreneur and roboticist; Justin Lyon, the CEO and founder of Simudyne, the pioneering simulation technology company; and Les Roches alumna, philanthropist and entrepreneur Evangeline Marie Ong Hayco. They will share their reflections and insights with the attendees at the school as well as with those who will be watching our live stream online.
See you there!
