Even though we are already halfway through this semester, we still have exciting times ahead of us with plenty of amazing outings and activities. We aim to provide as much fun and excitement outside the classroom as possible, with the help of Les Roches Student Governance, the possibilities are only limited to our own imagination!

Painting the Alps red… blue, green and yellow!

Paintball was one of our first activities of the new semester, giving our students the chance to compete against each other in four groups of eight people and only one goal per game: elimination. This active and super fun sport is definitely recommended to those that are competitive and enjoy action.

From up a Glacier, to downtown

The great Aletsch Glacier was one of our first hiking trips which proved to be a great success due to amazing weather and a very enthusiastic group. The numerous photos posted on social media speak for themselves. Right after that we had another exciting weekend where we visited Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland. The weather was definitely in our favor, even though the day started a bit chilly.

Mind over Matterhorn

After relaxing in Zurich, we donned our hiking boots again for a testing trail in Zermatt, culminating in a view of the Matterhorn. Even though there was a cloud covering the peak, the panoramic view from the Gornergrat is just amazing. It really should be something on your bucket list if you like sports – you are in for a good walk down, starting at 3,100 meters.

From mountain karting and bubble football to visiting Lucerne and Bern, there was absolutely no chance for our students to get bored. This year we will be ending the semester laughing until our bellies hurt at Trending Comics in Montreux. The cherry on the cake will be a visit to the famous Fête des Lumières (Festival of Lights) in Lyon, France.

With so much fun had in just the first three months, it makes you wonder what we have in store for our students throughout 2019!
